KL Monorail Line Extension Project

Kuala Lumpur - Subang (2012)

The new KL Monorail Extension Project is one of the extended rail networks connecting Kuala Lumpur and Subang area via the Old Klang Road.   Monosist has been appointed as lead consultant for the Preliminary Engineering Study team which consists of few other engineering consultants.  The study has been submitted and presented to the government for approval.

The new KL-Subang monorail line extension covers an alignment of approximately 14km to the west of Kuala Lumpur with 14 numbers of stations starting from the existing Tun Sambanthan Station in Brickfields heading towards Sunway commercial area via Jalan Kelang Lama, Kg. Medan area,  and ends at Sunway Township to interface with the  Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. 

The proposal will provide a new connectivity aims to increase mobility for the people along the proposed corridor to the Kuala Lumpur metropolitan via existing KL Monorail line.
