Monosist has been engaged as a station design consultant to AEIB Dubai and work closely with Obayashi Ltd of Japan in Design & Built contract to Nakheel Ltd.  The scope of works include station’s architectural design concept, rail station design criteria, transit building fire safety up to the preparation of tender documents.

The 5.4 km monorail line is located on the Palm Jumeirah connecting the main land to the developments within the man-made island. The project consists of 4 stations and a maintenance depot. Stations are designed fully-enclosed to deal with extreme weather condition. Generally stations envelope adopting glass and metal cladding with vaulted-roof expressing forward-looking architectural renditions.   

The platform is naturally lit via a skylight roof system to allow an optimum natural lighting environment.  Light blue tinted double glazing curtain wall , silver Polyster powder aluminium cladding, water-jet –finish grey granite floor and RAL9016 off-white steel skeleton  produced a monochromatic  atmosphere in the colorful animated scene.
